Support F.I.R.E. (and STE's) with Amazon!

Amazon has an Amazon Smiles program that donates a percentage of what you buy back to different charities. If you are not already supporting a charity through this program please consider designating FIRE. If you already support another organization, that's great! We all need some help from our friends!

Click here to visit and engage with Amazon Smile. Review the explanation, purpose and how to get started.

Thanks for considering doing this, every little bit helps!

There's lots underway with our funding partners at the FIRE Foundation!

Hello, Friends of FIRE, and happy back to school!

I am excited to start another school year being the liaison for FIRE at St. Elizabeth, along with Jennifer Walker. If your child receives ANY support from our friends in the Resource Room, it is expected that you participate in supporting FIRE's mission of inclusion. Many of you are supporters without even having a child receiving support- thank you!! I am sending some important information on this year's calendar, as well as the link to electronically sign the FIRE Acknowledgment of Support.  We don't ask a ton from our FOF, don't worry! Please click on the link below today and mark it off your to-do list. This is important in that the overall numbers of kids receiving support factors into the grants that are written and awarded for St. Elizabeth. If you have any questions, let us know! Info on the upcoming raffle contest and volunteer opportunities coming soon!

Click here to access the "acknowledgement of support."

Thanks,
Nina Troester and Jennifer Walker

Mark your calendars!

Upcoming Friends of FIRE (FOF) meetings:

September 25th, 7 PM at FIRE Foundation Office
The Catholic Center
20 W. Ninth Street
Kansas City, MO 64105

These two meetings will give you the opportunity to learn more about how you can help, support, volunteer, and GIVE BACK to FIRE! Please join us! Also look for a sign up coming for specific opportunities to help with FIREball! Remember, many hands make light work!

iNSPiRED! FIREBALL 2019

Saturday, October 12, 2019, 6–11 p.m.
North Club at Arrowhead Stadium

FIREBall is a benefit for the FIRE Foundation. Our mission is to provide children with special needs the opportunity for an inclusive Catholic education.
FIREBall

Get iNSPiRED and change children’s lives.

Just a generation ago, there wasn’t a place at most Catholic schools for students diagnosed with Down syndrome, for youngsters on the Autism spectrum or children with other special learning needs. Thanks to generous support from people like you, our schools are able to welcome students who need extra support to learn and thrive. Proceeds from FIRE Ball support our mission of inclusion.

FIREball Raffle Cup Contest:

Saint Elizabeth School finally won that trophy last year!! It’s staying at St Elizabeth this year, but we are going to need everyone’s help! The tickets will be sent home in backpack mail. The contest runs from Sept 4th through Oct 7th (at noon)!  The prize again this year is a Chiefs Pep Rally! Our students had such a blast at this event last year, it would be so great to be able to do it again!

FIRE Week 2019:

October 5-12
This is a special week that is set aside for us to celebrate daily what makes every single student at STE special. We are proud of our inclusive community, and we will continue to educate our students about all challenges. We will also have some fun mixed in as well!

Click here to purchase your FIRE T-shirts - available from August 27 through September 10.

Please contact Nina Troester or Jennifer Walker if you have any questions!
